Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser

Sunday, December 30, 2018 19 Comments
Althea came out with new brand Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser.
Why Pore Purifying Cleanser?
I bet Althea has done a lot of research before developing this cleanser?

Do you know every hair on your body is a corresponding skin pore?

Maintaining clean, healthy skin pores is crucial in your daily life. Read on..to know why I say so...
Same like dirty drainage concept, our face is collecting oil and dirt around our pores. If we don't clear all the debris from our pores, it will clog with oil and dead skin cells. Then bacteria spread into the blockage and the growth of bacteria cause inflammation.
Another bad news, your pore will stretch out more and it causes permanently shrink large pores.

Imagine how ugly your face will look with all this happening on your face?

Good news!
You can now care for your pores with the new Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser. I would say this is not just another cleanse but it helps in caring for your pores with some serum benefit added in.

I love the packaging of this cleanser with the sealed and secure cap which also prevents it from spill out too much. The content is a clear light blue liquid which one could even mistake it as toner or even just regular serum. This is a facial cleanser.

How to apply Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser?

There are two ways to use Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser.
1. To remove makeup
2. To cleanse the skin

Remove Makeup with Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser

Step 1 - Pour adequate amount onto the palm.
Step 2 - Massage all over your skin in circular motions to remove dirt and makeup
Step 3 - Rinse off with water. You may have to use the second cleanser to remove any residue completely.

I won't say Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser will be a complete cleanser. This cleanser is perfect to be part of the double cleansing regime after wearing makeup all day long. I tried this on my skin and I definitely need to use another cleanser to remove all residue completely.

Check out the video which I created purposely to show you how this works on my skin.

Cleanse the skin using Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser

Unlike using it in the morning after wake up. I can just use only this to cleanse my skin.

Step 1 - Dampen the skin and apply an adequate amount of product onto the palm of the hand
Step 2 - Gently massage the product all over your skin in circular motions for 5 - 10 seconds before rinsing off with water.

There is no need for double cleansing since I don't apply any makeup before sleeping...hehehehe..

This won't be my favourite cleanser since I hate double cleansing because it takes up so much of my time. But I think this is good if you are looking forward to extracting dirt from inside the pores and also maintain a healthy pH balance of the skin.

Be fair...No Pain No Gain. If you want to have good skin. Your effort is playing an important factor.

How much is Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser?

The price is RM33 for 150ml/bottle.

Where you can purchase your own Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser and start caring for your pore?

You can purchase at Althea website HERE . Please don't forget to use Code : PBSHIP to enjoy FREE SHIPPING.

Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist with Titi Kamal x Althea Korea

Wednesday, December 26, 2018 19 Comments
There are so many fragrance options at the counter... Why would I need a body mist?

This is the question came to my mind when body mist comes to a trend a few years back. When I first tried body mist 3 years back, my conclusion of body mist compare to regular perfume, they're softer, lighter and gives the wearer a pleasant smell.

I notice, body mist, in particular, doesn't last long. You have to re-apply your body mist throughout the day to maintain that all over scents. By spraying the body mist all day long result to subtle fragrance boost. I would say the result is so different than applying perfume throughout the day. Imagine you keep spraying the perfume all day long...muahahaha..you will end up keeping everyone away from you like 'skunk'. muahahaha

The leading online K Beauty Store Althea Korea recently did their very first celebrity collaboration. I may be a K drama junkie but I am also familiar with the popular Indonesian movie call 'Ada Apa Dengan Cinta'. The first celebrity collaboration is with Titi Kamal the beautiful talented movie star and singer from Jakarta Indonesia. She is the star for this most talked movie.

Althea introduces the first body mist called Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist as collaboration with Titi Kamal who is also enthusiastic about beauty. Althea team work closely with Titi Kamal to produce a great body mist to present to all beauty lover out there.

I have tried this Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist and amaze with its lightweight and the fragrance kind of a mixture of floral rose, fruity peaches and orange which is also a favourite of  Titi Kamal. Who doesn't loves the sweet scents of peaches and zesty orange? While for those who have been reading my blog would know I am a sucker when it comes to roses smells. kekeke

The scents combination of Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist, I would say perfect and not overly done for one to spray this throughout the day to stay fresh. The packaging kind of perfect to slip one into a handbag and bring out with you anytime.

To me body mists is not just for body spray since the texture is kind of lightweight, thanks to its low concentration of perfume oils which you can even spray it on the most delicate fabrics. So whenever you change the sheets just give it a good spray with body mists and you will be snoring in scented bliss.

Sometimes we tend to eat in our car while trapping in hours traffic jam. Eating in the car can leave unwanted odours. You can spray your body mist out to give the car a touch of your unique scent.

I would say, if you find a perfect body mist, don't grab only one bottle. Grab more and stock up more of this. You can get Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist at ALTHEA KOREA for only RM35. Just use code: PBSHIP for FREE DELIVERY.

Why You Should Add Pandan Leaves Into Your Cooking?

Sunday, December 23, 2018 19 Comments
I grew up with occasionally Mum or Grandma asked me to cut the Pandan Leaves at the backyard to add into their cooking. Most of the house we move into during my childhood time, it is convenient to get Pandan Leaves or Screw Pines Leaves. Now when most of us live in a high rise building, it is hard for us to see Pandan Leaves plant other then get it a Groceries Store.

At that time, I only thought Pandan Leaves just for sweet fragrance smells. After doing some research, I found out Pandan leaves offer many health benefits such as :

1. Helps to boost appetite

Just drop some of this into your rice or porridge. It works well to boost up your appetite.

2. Great remedy for pains and cramps

Mixed pandan leaves juice with coconut oil and apply this mixture to arthritis patients.

3. Helps in controlling blood sugar

Studies have shown that drinking extract of pandan leaves can help to reduce plasma glucose levels.

4. Lowering Blood Pressure

Add pandan leaves extract to your favourite drink twice a day. It can help in lowering symptoms of high blood pressure.

5. Helpful in Gout

All you need is to boil screwpine leaf with water or add few drops of Pandan Leaves extract. It helps in to reduce uric acid and get rid of kidney stones by drinking the remedy regularly.

There are many to list down but I will stop at just five since we all now know Pandan Leaves is not just for fragrance smell. Let us include Pandan Leaves into our daily life for its health benefits.

Well, its still depends on how you wanna use Pandan Leaves in cooking. It such a hassle for us in busy and hectic life to cut, blend and squeeze the pandan leaves for its juice. That was an old-time story. Nowadays, we are in a convenient era. Almost everything is made to cater to our hectic lifestyle.

Recently, I found this Pandan Leaf Extract which is made using the encapsulation technology to preserve natural pandan flavour. This natural aroma will be released once it heated up.

I tried this over the weekend with some simple 'tong sui' boiled.

Wash and soaked barley for 10 minutes and boiled it together with some red dates to give the sweetness.

I just add all the ingredients including a few drops of Pandan Leaf Extract into the slow cooker. I added some dried longan after it boils. By the way, this is a sugar-free 'tong sui'.

How does this taste? It tastes delicious. Indeed the pandan leaf extract did make a difference. It brings out the sweetness and smells the fragrance.

How does Pandan Leaf Extraction Process?

Step 1 Sorting and cleaning of fresh leaves

Step 2 Slicing of leaves using the vegetable cutter

Step 3 Drying leaves using fluid bed dryer

Step 4 Sonication by Ultrasound

Step 5 Enzymatic

Step 6 Solvent extraction

Step 7 Concentration using evaporator

Step 8 Microencapsulation

Step 9 Homogenizing

Not bad for a Pandan Leaf Essence. Taste and smells just like old time grandma pandan leaves extract.

For more details about Pandan Leaf Extract you can browse more at this official website :

Where can you buy natural Pandan Leaf Essence in Malaysia?

You can get this online at https://bionutriciaextract.com/shop/

Last check the price at RM36 per bottle. Buy 3 at FREE DELIVERY. You don't like the liquid version? Well, no worry you can even buy the powder at this shop. Awesome convenient!

Important tips: Avoid add pandan leaf essence to the sour or bitter mixture because it only blends well and enhances sweetness.

10 Wishes From My All Time Favourite K Beauty Store Althea Korea

Saturday, December 15, 2018 18 Comments
Dear Althea Santarina,

I started my year 2018 with the closure of the place I worked for a few years. I was the last person to leave the company. I then started a new life with an opening company but it doesn't work out for me. I was not happy there. I recently joined the other company. This is a place I want to be for a long time. I like the people here and learning new things every day. But I feel I am lacking with confidence in me. Please allow me to Welcome Year 2019 with great confidence out of me. Please grant my wishes, for me to stay more presentable and be happy in this new place.

Love
Angel Cindyrina

Moonshot Micro Setting it Cushion (12g) RM87

I never try this before but I read this Cushion sheer and skin soothing. Moreover, it sets and fixes the skin with a non-cakery finish. Plus it does not transfer easily. This is what I want since the year 2019 will start with me travels out for work. Oh! I hope this last long too.

Nacific Real Rose Floral Toner (180ml) Price RM53

Since I love the smell of roses, I really wanted to try this hydrating toner that made with 92% real rose petals. Owhhh!!! so sweet right? Apparently, this is not just a simple toner. It also contains Centella Asiatica extracts that help to exfoliate dead skin cells too. Awesome right?

Innisfree Whitening Pore Cream (50ml) Price RM102

I always conflicting myself to get whitening or pore cream. But then I read Innisfree have whitening pore cream is like heaven answered my prayer. Who wants to sponsor me this? Pweaseeeee!!!!! Did I mention this make from tangerine peel? I bet it smells awesome citrus. You know why I think this is good and must have? Its always 'sold out'!

Missha 4D Mascara (7g) Price RM16

Since I am not good at drawing eyeliner, I always make sure to apply at least mascara. 4D mascara? I would love to try this out since I never try any of this before. I tried the super lashes mascara before though.

It's Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector (30ml)  Price RM30

I remember bought this same brand for my sis during my trip to Jeju recently but I forgot to get one for myself. I have a dark spot problem due to too long hours expose under the sun. I think this will helps to recover my loses and hopefully can reduce my dark spot.

Color Deep Cushion Tint (4.2g)  RM36

I tried once and love it so much. It works like having a mechanical pen in my handbag. Whenever I feel like touching up my lips just open the cover and pump out once then glide onto my lip. Walahhh...muakssss!!! Love the colour too. Super vibrant and suit my skin.

CP-1 Raspberry Hair Vinegar (500ml) Price RM31

This is my one and only hair treatment which I recommended to others and they just fall in love with it for an instant. It helps to soften, detangles and smoothes troubled hair. Just because its vinegar, you think this will make my hair smells sour. Hell no! My hair smells sweet like raspberry. You even feel like wanna munch it as a snack.

Althea Velvet Powder (3g) RM16

Ever since Althea came out with it's on face powder, I never step out from the house without applying this on my face. I love the lavender version because the smells its awesome. It gives me a fresh look without even drying out my skin. Love how it helps my makeup look great. Like its name, the powder is soft and gentle on skin.

Mamonde Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense (2.5g) Price RM29

I love the highly adhesive velvety texture of this tint. It just a tint but the creaminess smooth glide on lips ensure my lips moisture and prevent from cakiness. Mamonde Creamy Tint is really presenting intense colour pigmentation. I don't need a lipstick if I travel out with this awesome Tint.

Milky and Whitening Eye Cream (15ml) Price RM19

Eye cream or Eye gel normally cost a bomb and still doesn't guarantee effectiveness. I was sceptical when first try this because of the price. I tried once and bought one for my sis too. We both love it. Well, it doesn't really help to cure that panda eyes. I can assure it helps in moisturising the under eye well. Its really quick absorption and keep eyes hydrated.

Travelogue : 8th Day, Jeju-do

Wednesday, December 12, 2018 20 Comments
13th October 2018, Saturday

Wake up with some lazy mood in my head. I decided not to drive anywhere today. Plus my phone suddenly acting up. I guess too heavy task for many days already. Today when I wake up it just unable to start. It just went black out. I was so upset with worry I lost all my photos from this trip. What should I do? Seriously worried. I still have my tablet to take a photo but you know la...tablet is super heavy and big too.

I decided to explore nearby my Hotel area. It was Saturday.

I decided to walk around Dongmun Market, Jungang Underground Shopping Center and then at night walk back to Dongmun Nightmarket. Like I said there was a 57th Tamna Festival in Jeju during my stay. Almost every day at Jeju City is the festival atmosphere. Many programmes going on. While walking toward the Market saw a bunch of kids with funny costume getting ready to perform. hehehe

Dongmun Traditional Market, Jeju City

This traditional market is one of the most popular markets selling fresh seafood, goodies and snacks. You can get almost everything on Jeju goodies like tangerine chocolate, fruits, snacks and clothes too.

I don't sign up for breakfast from my hotel so totally need for breakfast fix. I end up trying out this cheesy seafood cook in Crabshell.

Yummy??? I am hungry...anything also tastes nice here for me. hahaha

Finally found this pancakes. I tried few types of pancake one are sweet and the other full of Japchae in the pancake.

I wish to have my own kitchen here in Jeju. Can buy back the fresh fish and kimchi for lunch or dinner.

After shop for some snacks, I walked out from the market to join the crowd at Tamna Festival.

They even have some fun activities and flea market outside here. But my mood is totally at worrisome mode due to my phone problem. Keep wondering on what to do if this fella still acting up until night time. I wanted to shop at Jungang Underground shopping centre but not in the mood at all.

I just walked back to the hotel and get sulky alone. I keep google on how to rectify my phone. But many advice to reset to factory. I don't want to do that because this will cause me to lose all the data.

Nearly night time, I tried to restart my phone again. WTH!!! it starts. Everything went well and I still don't really know what is the cause for it acting up in the daytime.

Jungang Underground Shopping Centre

I walked to the underground shopping centre but to me, this place is nothing to buy. Much famous beauty brand store but the price is not that cheap. It was cheaper to buy from the online store from Malaysia here. I just bought a few hand cream and facial mask for a souvenir. My heart still protests on why I bought this expensive stuff here when I can get this cheaper elsewhere. As for fashion, I think Sg Wang fashion much better from here. If you ask me whether I recommend shopping here? I would rather skip this place and maybe check out the Duty-free but its quite far from me. Shopping is my less priority in this trip.

Dongmun Night Market

I was in a great mood to join the night market crowd. My mission here to get a nice street food dinner. This place is super crowded since it was Saturday night.

No place to sit here. Just buy some food and eat it while standing at any corner you can find. I was glad to bring my backpack with me to keep my hand free so I can keep comfortably. I skip all the long queue stall. Anyway..I can't even eat them since the longest queue is poky dishes. I just patronised all the seafood stall and end up with great foodies experience here with some Hallabong juice to finish off my dinner that night.

Travelogue : 7th Day, Jeju-do

Monday, December 10, 2018 22 Comments
12th October 2018, Friday

12th Oct - My birth date. I was glad to be here at least away from my workplace and far from people who know me. At least can do some soul searching and inspiration on how to continue living this life. I feel blessed for few years able to celebrate my birthday on my own away from others noise. This moment that I have is really precious for me. Especially this year since I am in dilemma to find direction with my life and making the biggest decision in my life. (that does not mean I  am getting married or something) My life is always about myself not anyone else.

Last year 12 Oct 2017,  I spent my 43rd birthday having lots of fun at Universal Studio Japan.
How  I spend my moment on my 44th Birthday this year 12 Oct 2018? I would say nothing special and specific agenda for this year. I just end up lazy around without direction.

Hallim Park

I end up here in the morning. Strolling and explore Hallim Park which located at the western part of Jeju. Estimated around 33km drive away from Jeju City and west of Mt Hallasan along the beach of Hallimeup.

One special fact I learn about this place is this park was established on barren land. Now, this barren land has a variety of gardens that can be enjoyed in every season.

Things to do at Hallim Park

Visit two famous caves - Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Cave which is known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world. I love this caves compare to Manjanggul Caves I visited on my 3rd day travelogue.

This caves even have the 'Legend of Dr.Jin'and 'Golden Cave'.

Strolling through the various garden - Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone, Bonsai Garden

If you love to visit the folk village, here they have one too. On top of that, there are many species of birds around here which you can watch up close.

I have fun checking out the beautiful waterfall, lavender, rosemary and other herbs garden too. Oh! did I mention this is my first time visiting the kiwi garden? So happy!

Hyeopjae Beach

This beach located just west side of Hanrin-eup and is part of Hallim Park. I don't really spend time here but love this beautiful white beach. There are many crushed seashells scattered around and long seashores stretched and cobalt coloured seawater. Not far from his beach you can even see Biyangdo Island. This beach is a great place for camping too.

Cafe Hemingway

I am not really a great fan of Cafe hoping. Why? I need to spend money on expensive coffee. huhuhuh...I visited this cafe because love the location which is right in front of a beach and I can enjoy my hot coffee while looking out over the sea through the window. I was tempted to sit outside but the weather was too windy and chilly.

I end up spending on very dry scones and a cup of cappuccino which cost me in a total of KRW16,000. I can eat one full meal dinner with that cash. isk isk isk ...but it's my choice though! Using my special day to resonate within me for spending that much that day.

View from Hemingway. I love Cafe Hemingway because of the view and peacefulness. Not many people here. But the food here kind of sucks and basically they are selling the view. Hemingway Cafe not far from Hyeopjae Beach.

Cafe Bomnal

I am a big fan of 'Warm and Cozy' Korean Drama starred by Yoo Yeon Seok and Kang So Ra. Passing by this cafe is meaningful for me. It's a beautiful place but I don't spend my money here because I am saving up the budget to spend at Cafe Monsant which is just walking distance from this Cafe.

Cafe Aewol Monsant

Here you go...highlight for the day. My favourite K Pop Idol G-Dragon's cafe, Cafe Aewol Monsant. I really love the stylish and modern design of this cafe. They have this impressive huge glass windows surrounded the cafe build up.

The crowd here pretty much full of excitement. Enjoying the delicious goodies and coffee. The price you pay here is quite worth it.

The cinnamon bread and cakes are delicious with the price you paid. Unlike the Cafe Hemmingway but of course, you can't find peacefulness here. The crowd is noisy. hahaha...This cafe super popular. Obviously crowded.

OK!!!! I treat this as my 44th birthday present for myself. I don't spend on coffee here but just drink up the free plain water provide here. I spent KRW16,000 here. Loving the bread and cake here. Lucky I have my hoodies on. The weather was super hot and chilly at the same time. I put that on and dine outside the cafe while enjoying the breathtaking view here.

I really love the fantastic view of ocean view of Jeju Island laid out in front of my eyes here. I wish can spend more time here. Time is so jealous of me. I feel sunset pretty fast here. I need to start my journey back to hotel fast before its dark. Yeahhhh!!! my old age has difficulties to see the road in the dark.

I concluded my 12th Oct 2018 with a simple meal a grilled mackerel with this super pathetic side dishes at KRW15,000. My favourite ajumma closed the shop super early that day. Whatever it is my 44th birthday this year is full of blessing and I find my life direction after this trip. Satisfied!!
