The main reason I end up at Matsumoto due this is the best place to start my journey to Kamikochi and Alpine Routes trip. After spending half afternoon exploring Matsumoto, the next morning I woke up at 5am to take the first train out to Kamikochi. How to get there? - Take the Matsumoto Electric Railway from Matsumoto Station to Shin-Shimashima Station (30 minutes rides) - Followed by a bus ride to Kamikochi (60 minutes rides) Paid 4,550 yen for round trip and please make sure to book your return boarding number once you reach Kamikochi bus terminal or you end up overnight in the jungle. After 2 nights at Asakusa, Tokyo, I move to Matsumoto which located in Nagano Prefecture, the Central part of Japan. Since I bought 7 days JR pass which cost USD244 inclusive fedex charges to Malaysia, so today will be my first day make use of my JR pass. I bought it because I have many long distance train ride so it would be very costly if without it.  Train ride from Asakusa to Matsumoto for almost 3 hours and 50 minutes can easily cost me 9,240 Yen for one way. Yup! you read it right. So plan well if you in Japan because transportation apart from confusing due to many lines, they can easily eating up to your budget travel. Travel like Japanese! Today  12th October 2015 is my 41th years survival on earth !  Happy Birthday to me  and Thank you Mum and Dad for bringing me to this world. Purposely wait for 12th Oct 2015 to post my Japan travel diary. I suppose to fly to Japan on 10th Oct 2015 but things need to push forward due to unforeseen circumstances. I arrived at Narita around 3:00pm the took Keisei Line direct from Narita to Asakusa. I took Keisei Main Line cost me 1100 yen for one way journey. Today's post may sound a bit gross for some of you. WTH! I still want to post it here anyway since it may benefit some of you out there. Before I visited Japan, many people told me Japanese toilet are much cleaner than other countries. Well, my verdict ....its just a toilet and whether you Japanese or Chinese or Korean or even Malaysian, its just a toilet. Nothing clean when it comes to place to throw your waste. Of course plus the attitude of the human who use that place. It smells toilet even if they put lavender in it. Its toilet air! For goodness sake! I still found dirty and gross toilet in Japan.
