As ageing hits me, includes a mask sheet in my beauty routine is a must. It would be unrealistic for me to say I apply a mask sheet every night unless I was born rich or my pocket has unlimited. I try to do this at least once a week now.
Those days, I don't give a damn on what material they use for my mask as long as it is cheap and serum drench and I am sold! I thought it doesn't matter at all! I was wrong after all. It does matter... Talk about cheapskate me...Recently, I have quite a free time to analyze each material the face mask made off. I was like....owhhhhh... no wonder this and no wonder that. Here are the results of my research.
5 Different Types of Mask Sheet Materials I have Tried
1. Cotton
One of the most common sheet mask materials in the market. Mostly soft white cellulose fabric material. Since it's from a plant-derived, so it safe for your delicate skin. In another word, they don't irritate your skin. Usually comes in white fabric, soft, absorbent and breathable material. So it quite comfortable.
2. Microfibre
Almost like a cotton sheet but it softer and silkier than cotton. It comes in white same as a cotton sheet and this material is eco-friendly since its biodegradable and safe for skin too.
3. Hydrogel
It comes in a transparent material and really fragile to handle. I lose my patient if I were to use this type of mask sheet. If you are not careful, you will end up with well rip off the sheet on your hand even before you apply on your face. huhuhuh
One thing I love about hydrogel is they feel like blending into my skin since its a thin layer of film on the face and very soothing too. One of my favourite for sure but I can't handle fragile things well. isk isk.
4. Charcoal
Another favourite mask sheet material for me even though the black colour sheet may look bizarre on your face. The charcoal powder is compressed and infused into the sheet to detox the skin and help to extract out the excess oil on your skin. Love the super smooth feeling on the skin.
5. Bio-Cellulose
One of my top choice of mask sheet material but its quite pricey for my wallet, though. The price comes with good benefits for the skin. If I said hydrogel blending into my skin but this one really sticks on your skin like having a second layer of skin protecting your skin. I am not exaggerated.
I spent more of my time analysing this particular material trying to justify the high price compare to others.

In my opinion, after trying out all 5 mask sheets from different material, I confidently vouch on bio-cellulose mask sheet. You can feel the serum absorp into your skin immediately after you take off the sheet from your face. You can apply the moisturiser almost immediately.

I am quite familiar with Hyaluronic Acid but Quintple Hyaluronic Acid is my first encounter. Anyway, this is composed of low, middle and high-level molecules hyaluronic acid which provide deep hydration to the skin's core. Since it is Hyaluronic Acid anyway, this ingredients definitely helps in deep moisturizing, skin conditioning, promotes would healing and prevent evaporation.

Step 1 - Cleanse your face with a cleanser of your choice and pat your skin dry.
Step 2 - Prep your skin by applying a generous and even layer of NUViT Quintuple Hyaluronic Acid Serum and pat gently.
Step 3 - Apply NUViT Instant Restoring and Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Mask starting from chin area and press it gently onto face with fingertips lightly and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes.
Step 4 - Remove the mask and gently massage the skin to allow the excess serum to be absorbed into the skin and DO NOT WASH your face.
My experience after applying NUViT Instant Restoring and Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Mask
The NUViT Quintuple Hyaluronic Acid Serum is in transparent colour liquid and quite slimy but it absorbs into the skin really well once it touches the skin.
I was amazed that the material is easy to handle and set well onto my skin. I just need to use my scissors to cut the mouth area a bit since the hole is too small for me. OMG! That doesn't mean I have Angelina Jolie's mouth. It just to small but everything else set pretty well for me. Most of the time when you apply your mask, you have to lie down so that the mask won't slip down from your face. But this one really fits well onto my skin as if I don't even apply anything on my face at that moment.
Have you ever experience your face is drenched wet with serum after a mask sheet session and it takes times to dry up? Sometimes I even have to wait a long time before applying my moisturiser. Not this one! The moment I took off NUViT Bio-Cellulose mask from my skin and gently massage in there remaining serum which not much left since it absorbs well during the masking session.
