Slow-Paced Adventure in Dujiangyan: Panda Valley & Red Panda Quest

Why Dujiangyan? Dujiangyan is just an hour train ride from Chengdu City, but for a slow traveler like me, three days and two nights felt just right. While many healthy travelers do a quick day trip, I needed more time to soak in the sights and adapt to the pace. I was travelling with one walking stick on my hand. Dujiangyan Pandan Valley Address:  Baima Village, Yutang Town, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu Arrival & First Impressions After a long car ride from Heishui, I reached Dujiangyan late in the evening, exhausted. No private driver here. His service ended here at Dujiangyan. Too expensive to keep hahaha. I use only e-hailing rides to move around. The vibe was different, more local, more raw. The first panda , I met This fella...dont even move. I thought he's dead! another...I care less panda. Just sleep like a wooden log up there Panda Valley Experience The next morning, I headed to Panda Valley with my online ticket. I chose the smaller valley instead of the conservatio...

Swollen Ankle and Medical Screening Surprise

Hello gaissss!!!  I have been lazy to even update my blog especially my Chengdu trip last October 2025.  I am about to embark into another journey this May 2026. But... the world situation may change my plan though. Big sigh!!!! Anyway......let me tell you my current concern. I woke up one morning with a swollen ankle. At first, I thought maybe I twisted it in my sleep or walked too much the day before. But the swelling looked unusual. While I was still figuring out what went wrong, my phone buzzed with a WhatsApp notification. It was my medical screening result. Ohhhh! a bit side track. Gaisss!!! I was so 'kiasu' this morning. I went to fill up my car fuel tank to the max. Ahhh!!! just worried unable or difficult to get the fuel soon. You know...I know...what is going on to this mad world now!  Anyway! lets get back to my story.... For those who have been following my blog, you know I am on the GLP-1 Tirzepatide weight loss journey. More than 4 months in, I have l...

Honest Review: Sunplay Skin Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Serum UV

When I first picked up the Sunplay Skin Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Serum UV , the sleek blue bottle already gave me that “hydrating luxury” vibe. Unlike the usual heavy sunscreens or sticky sunblocks, this one feels more like a skincare serum than a typical sunscreen. That’s the first big difference ! It’s marketed as a serum UV , not just a sunblock. Texture & Application The texture is lightweight, almost watery-gel like, and it spreads effortlessly across the skin. No greasy residue, no sticky film, and most importantly.....  no white cast . This is a huge win for those of us who hate looking like a ghost after applying sunscreen. It absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling supple and hydrated, almost like you’ve just applied a hydrating essence. This is where it stands out! It doesn’t just sit on top of your skin to block UV rays, it actually locks in hydration thanks to the 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid (HA, Absorbent HA, Nano HA). Think of it as a sunscreen that doubles ...

Cosmoderm Luminous A Retinol Review

In general, most people are advised to start using retinol in their mid-20s. Why do we need retinol for our skin? Well, this is because collagen and elastin production starts to slow down. Adding retinol into our skincare routine at age of 25 to 30 is the perfect time to slow down the ageing process. So, what is retinol that people are hyping about? In short, retinol is a topical product containing a vitamin A derivative. Technically speaking a type of retinoid which works to increase collagen production. It helps to treat acne, and blackheads and is also ideal to improve skincare texture such as minimising fine lines, and wrinkles and brightening dull skin. Personally, I am a beginner in adding Retinol into my skincare routine. At the age of 47 years old. I guess, am afraid to start one because I read many side effects if use it wrong.  What is the side effect if you use retinol wrong?  Retinols can increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight. So, it is advisable to apply th...

For those who don't know what is Plantar Fasciitis, I will give you some brief about this. Who knows it may hit you too once you aging like me...hehehe. Anyway, its good to know. Plantar Fasciitis is common pain for middle-aged people. WTH! can't believe I aged this quickly. Young people don't so happy!
