Here's the continuation from my Sichuan trip on October 2025. Gaisssss!!! I was so filed up with my health condition and so on. Plus I lost my motivation to do the write up. I'm about to embarked to another journey next month. My swollen ankle makes me worries a lot. Can I make it this trip. I went to the doctor yesterday for an ultra scan. Not a sprained ankle which is phewww!!! relief . It look like inflamation. The Doc prescribed a cream to apply and antibiotics. But this morning, I woke up with elephant feet. Nope! that was exhaggerating. But it look more swollen than yeasterday. However the pain isn't so frequent like the day before la. I hope it reduce tomorrow or the day after. I side track again , right. OK! let me continue my Sichuan Travel diary. By the way, if you miss out my earlier Sichuan diary...scroll to the bottom of this post. Swollen Ankle and Medical Screening Surprise

Hello gaissss!!!  I have been lazy to even update my blog especially my Chengdu trip last October 2025.  I am about to embark into another journey this May 2026. But... the world situation may change my plan though. Big sigh!!!! Anyway......let me tell you my current concern. I woke up one morning with a swollen ankle. At first, I thought maybe I twisted it in my sleep or walked too much the day before. But the swelling looked unusual. While I was still figuring out what went wrong, my phone buzzed with a WhatsApp notification. It was my medical screening result. Ohhhh! a bit side track. Gaisss!!! I was so 'kiasu' this morning. I went to fill up my car fuel tank to the max. Ahhh!!! just worried unable or difficult to get the fuel soon. You know...I know...what is going on to this mad world now!  Anyway! lets get back to my story.... For those who have been following my blog, you know I am on the GLP-1 Tirzepatide weight loss journey. More than 4 months in, I have l...

Honest Review: Sunplay Skin Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Serum UV

When I first picked up the Sunplay Skin Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Serum UV , the sleek blue bottle already gave me that “hydrating luxury” vibe. Unlike the usual heavy sunscreens or sticky sunblocks, this one feels more like a skincare serum than a typical sunscreen. That’s the first big difference ! It’s marketed as a serum UV , not just a sunblock. Texture & Application The texture is lightweight, almost watery-gel like, and it spreads effortlessly across the skin. No greasy residue, no sticky film, and most importantly.....  no white cast . This is a huge win for those of us who hate looking like a ghost after applying sunscreen. It absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling supple and hydrated, almost like you’ve just applied a hydrating essence. This is where it stands out! It doesn’t just sit on top of your skin to block UV rays, it actually locks in hydration thanks to the 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid (HA, Absorbent HA, Nano HA). Think of it as a sunscreen that doubles ...

Raya 2026 : Celebration at my First Sister's House

Family of 6 plus one brother in law and 2 nieces and 2 nephew My mum was laughing heartily when she saw her photo on AI edited version hahaha My Dad's hand is protecting his Raya money packet because my mom cheekily wanna steal from him hahaha This year’s first Raya felt a little different. Instead of my usual celebration at my last sister's house, All of us gathered at my sister’s  new house for the big day. Potluck mode activated! I decided to contribute two things: a tray of dark chocolate black cookies and a big wok of fried noodles.   Now, let me confess… I’m not a fan of yellow noodles. Rarely eat them. But my family? Big fans. So, I woke up at 5 a.m. (yes, 5 a.m.!) to fry noodles for them. Problem is… my bujang house doesn’t even have a proper big wok. Ended up cooking in batches.   Batch 1: Bitter.   Batch 2: Bitter again.   Batch 3: I gave up. Packed the raw noodles and thought, “Fry yourself la!” Hahaha… my evil side wanted t...

Sichuan Travel Diary : Bipenggou Scenic Area & Heishui

Morning at Bipenggou Scenic Area (毕棚沟风景区) Day 2 began with an early check-out from Bipenggou Hotel around 8:30am. I had purchased   Bipenggou Ticket , online which included both the shuttle bus ride and the battery cart ride. After exchanging the e-ticket for a physical one at the tourist center near the entrance, I was ready to explore. . First Impressions Mid-October is a magical time to visit Bipenggou. The valley is painted in autumn hues—golden larches, fiery red maples, and snow-dusted peaks in the distance. The crisp air and serene atmosphere make it a photographer’s dream. How to Explore Tickets:  Buy the shuttle bus + battery cart combo ticket for convenience. The shuttle bus takes you deep into the scenic area, while the battery cart helps shorten walking distances. Shuttle Bus Ride:  The ride itself is scenic, winding through forests and valleys. However, boarding requires climbing a long staircase, which can be tiring if you’re not prepared. Battery Cart...

Chengdu to Mount Siguniang: Maobiliang Deck & Shuangqiaogou Valley Travel Guide

Shuangqiaogou Valley On my 51st birthday, I finally set off to Chengdu despite my knee not being in the best condition. Armed with a walking stick and a stubborn spirit, I pushed through the pain of osteoarthritis. My fear was simple: leaving this world without completing my goal of exploring every renowned province in China. China is vast, beautiful, and full of nature’s wonders. I couldn’t let my health stop me. For this Western Sichuan adventure, I hired a private driver for 3 days, 2 nights to cover the route: Chengdu – Shuangqiaogou Valley – Bipenggou – Heishui – Dujiangyan. This blog series will be split into three posts, starting with Day 1. I woke up at 4:30am, and by 6:00am my driver arrived. The journey from bustling Chengdu into the serene alpine world of Mount Siguniang was long but rewarding. The drive itself felt like part of the adventure. Driving Timeline • Chengdu → Maobiliang Deck: ~4 hours • Maobiliang Deck → Shuangqiaogou Valley: ~15–20 minutes • Shuangqiaogou...

[REVIEW] SKINMADE Star RetinAL Super Skin Renewal Night Serum

Let me tell you about my latest night-time obsession. No, not binge-watching K-dramas or stalking cute scoop merch (although… guilty 😅). I’m talking about the [NEW] SKINMADE Star RetinAL Super Skin Renewal Night Serum. Yes, the one that promises collagen boost, anti-acne magic, and all that jazz. I gave it a whirl for a few weeks, and here’s the tea. First Impressions: Fancy Tube, Serious Vibes The packaging? Sleek. Gold accents. Airless pump. Feels like I’m holding a mini spaceship for my face. It claims to protect the RetinAL from air and light so the potency stays strong till the last pump. I was like, “Okay, science. I see you.” Texture & Application: Smooth Operator The serum itself is lightweight, slightly creamy, and absorbs like a dream. No sticky aftermath. I use it after cleansing and toning, before moisturizer. Just one pump....don’t go overboard, babes. Retinol is powerful, not nasi lemak sambal. The Ingredients: Not Just Another Retinol This isn’t your ave...

My Honest Journey with GLP-1 Tirzepatide: The Side Effects Nobody Talks About

When I first decided to try GLP-1 therapy with tirzepatide, I was excited about the promise: better blood sugar control, reduced appetite (not relevant since I am a small eater), and finally a chance to shed stubborn weight (for the sake of my old osteo knee). But let me be real with you....this journey isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Alongside the benefits, I’ve faced some uncomfortable side effects that deserve a candid spotlight.   What Is Tirzepatide? * Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist used for type 2 diabetes and obesity management. * It works by slowing gastric emptying and increasing satiety, which helps with weight loss but can trigger digestive discomfort. Common Side Effects I Experienced Here’s the raw truth of what my body went through: 1. Nausea & Vomiting 2. Reported in 12–30% of patients, especially during dose escalation. 3. Feels like morning sickness that lingers, sometimes manageable, sometimes overwhelming. 4. Dehydration 5. Because o...

My GLP-1 Journey: From Knee Pain to Hopeful Healing

On 28 November 2025, I hit my heaviest weight ever ....71.6kg. My knees were screaming in pain, my body felt alien, and my mind was exhausted. The irony? I wasn’t living recklessly. I didn’t overeat, I didn’t neglect exercise. I tried my best to live healthily, yet the numbers on the scale kept climbing. Desperate to understand why my knee still hurt months after arthroscopy, I drove 45 minutes to the clinic for an ultrasound. The scan revealed the harsh truth...stage 4 osteoarthritis in both knees, with bad fluid causing inflammation and swelling, plus a meniscus sticking out of place. No wonder I couldn’t walk properly. The doctor didn’t sugarcoat it. PRP , stem cell or other injections wouldn’t help. My weight was burdening my knees further. Abudeeen! I knew that already, but what could I do? Every attempt at weight loss ended with me gaining more. That’s when she suggested GLP-1 Tirzepatide injections, once a week. Since I’m already at menopause, she explained it could help balance...

Cosmoderm Luminous A Retinol Review

In general, most people are advised to start using retinol in their mid-20s. Why do we need retinol for our skin? Well, this is because collagen and elastin production starts to slow down. Adding retinol into our skincare routine at age of 25 to 30 is the perfect time to slow down the ageing process. So, what is retinol that people are hyping about? In short, retinol is a topical product containing a vitamin A derivative. Technically speaking a type of retinoid which works to increase collagen production. It helps to treat acne, and blackheads and is also ideal to improve skincare texture such as minimising fine lines, and wrinkles and brightening dull skin. Personally, I am a beginner in adding Retinol into my skincare routine. At the age of 47 years old. I guess, am afraid to start one because I read many side effects if use it wrong.  What is the side effect if you use retinol wrong?  Retinols can increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight. So, it is advisable to apply th...
