Things to do at Langkawi - 3 Days / 2 Nights

Few people emailed asking me to do a summary for my short vacation to Langkawi. huhuhuh...giving me more works. IMA so busy with work early of the year. Haihhh! Anyway, I won't disappoint your request. Here goes everything must do for short visit in Langkawi.

To me my visit to Langkawi is like a visit to Jeju Island from Busan. Just an hour flight from KUL.  I wish I visit to Langkawi much earlier. I was missing out!

I took 7:30am flight on Saturday morning from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi and back to Kuala Lumpur on Monday afternoon, 3:15pm flight. My sis rented a Perodua Viva car for 3 of us which we collected at Airport itself to roamed around Langkawi. We paid RM100 per day with half full tank petrol ready filled for us.

So...what to do in Langkawi for 3 days?

My itinerary to Langkawi was super easy and relaxing vacation :

* Flight KUL - Langkawi depart 7:30am arrival 8:30am
* collect rented car at airport
* Visit Langkawi Sky Cab
* Lunch Laksa Ikan Sekoq (on the way to our Motel from Langkawi Sky Cab)
* Check in to Motel at Pantai Tengah - we stayed at Cactus Inn because ample parking space there. If you stay in Chenang you may have parking problem. Too congested there.
* Chocolate Shopping at Haji Ismail Complex
* Dinner at Wan Thai Restaurant
* Visit Night Market (location opposite Baron Hotel)
* Go back rest and relax at Motel (we woke up early to catch morning flight though. Everyone feel like wanna collapsed!)

* Breakfast at Cactus Inn Cafe (Motel we stayed. The cafe is not so good looking but the breakfast was superb!)
* Half day Mangrove tour by Bard - highly recommended half day tour. I paid RM100/pax with simple fried rice lunch.
* Back motel and rest
* Evening walk at Pantai Chenang
* Shop for chocolate again at Chenang area (I still recommend you buy your chocolate at Haji Ismail complex because its cheaper)
* Dinner at some Restaurant which we were not happy with the taste. We made the wrong choice of Restaurant for that night. Expensive and sucks! That cook deserve to be fired and totally don't have heart to cook the meal serve.
* Back motel to relax

* Breakfast at Nasi Dagang Pak Malau with Paddy Field view
* Visit Seaworld at Pantai Chenang
* Check out Motel and drive to airport
* Lunch at Kak Yan mixed Rice (not worth to shout out. The food is just average. We went there because my Third Sis would like to taste the spoon worm salad. This place is super pack with people and I just don't like it )
* Flight Langkawi - KUL depart 3:15pm but flight delay to 3:30pm and arrive KUL around 4:30pm

The end of my short vacation to Langkawi.

Don't miss this awesome cable car ride.

Overcome your fear of heights by strolling on top of this sky bridge and enjoy the fabulous Andaman Sea view.

Buy your Sky Cab ticket online and redeem it on site to save time. You can purchase at panoramalangkawi.com. We bought combo A ticket for RM42/pax. Recommend you to go direct from Airport if you take early morning flight. If you visit afternoon the queue will be longer. I am not sure about you...but me ? long queue? BIG NO!

Try this delicious fish paste gravy rice noodles call 'Laksa Ikan Sekoq' for RM5 / plate at Jalan Kuala Muda, 07100 Langkawi. This is just a road side stall selling street food. They have others too if you find this noodles is too fishy for you.

Chocolate shopping is a must in Langkawi because some of imported chocolate is so like 40 - 50% cheaper than duty free KLIA. Highly recommended to visit HIG Mall. I went for other shop but HIG Mall is way cheaper price.

Highly recommended to have your dinner at Wan Thai Restaurant, 80,Persiaran Bunga Raya, Kuah 07000 Langkawi. The location aren't good at all because it at shop lot area without any superb view but the food is delicious. They open at 6:30pm so please come early because this place always pack with people. We waited since 5:30pm in our car and we barely got the table. Don't forget to order tomyam soup.

Highly recommend to do this Mangrove Tour by Bard (just google and you will get the info in FB) if tou visit Langkawi. This guy is highly rated at Trip Advisor too. I personally learn a lot about survival at Mangrove from this tour.

I even learn how Langkawi gots its name from this trip.

Lang means short for HeLANG which means Eagles (many eagles especially the brown one here in Langkawi)
Kawi is the name of brown stone which you can find many in Langkawi.

The van will pick you up from Hotel or Motel to the based camp for this tour to start. Awesome speed boat ride too.

Pantai Chenang pack with people and really make me feel like in Thailand beach rather than in Malaysia. But its still a great evening strolling by the beach here.

Have your breakfast at Nasi Dagang Pak Malau for this fabulous paddy field view. If you are visiting to Mahsuri Mausoleum aka Makam Mahsuri this place is perfect . We pass on Mahsuri Mausoleum because we are not interested. This place offer the view with Malay style traditional breakfast. Don't hope for western breakfast here, ok!
Nasi Dagang Pak Malau address : Jalan Makam Mahsuri , Kampung Mawar, 07000 Langkawi Kedah.

Visit Seaworld at Pantai Chenang. You can see adorable penguin up closed. Adult ticket for RM32/pax.

Long CNY holiday weekend coming up end of this month. Take this opportunity to be one of those festive tourist if you don't mind! For Malaysian...don't just aim for out of country travel. Langkawi is one of those gems for you to explore and experience. This place is still oversea. hahahaha and you only spend in MYR no need to exchange to other currency.

Budget for 3D/2N to langkawi

* Air Ticket - just look out for cheap airfare it can even cost you less than RM200/pax
* Hotel or Motel or hotel - don't need to be so grand expensive hotel. You will be staying out all day and back for good night sleep. Maybe you can get good place for less than RM160/night
* Car Rental - we book smaller car like Perodua Viva so it cost RM100/day
* Enterance fees and tours for 3 Days based on the itinerary given - cost us less than RM200/person
* Food and shopping RM300 ( I eat what ever I want and buy what ever I like)

Total approximately less than RM1,000/person (you can save more if you go with many people since you can share you accommodation cost and food cost.)

I am not sure about others traveling style who can even travel with RM300 for Langkawi. But this is my style of traveling. I always feel traveling is not about tighten your budget until you feel in misery while traveling.  I believe be happy while traveling.

Cosmoderm Luminous A Retinol Review

In general, most people are advised to start using retinol in their mid-20s. Why do we need retinol for our skin? Well, this is because collagen and elastin production starts to slow down. Adding retinol into our skincare routine at age of 25 to 30 is the perfect time to slow down the ageing process. So, what is retinol that people are hyping about? In short, retinol is a topical product containing a vitamin A derivative. Technically speaking a type of retinoid which works to increase collagen production. Personally, I am a beginner in adding Retinol into my skincare routine. At the age of 47 years old. I guess, am afraid to start one because I read many side effects if use it wrong.  What is the side effect if you use retinol wrong?  Retinols can increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight. So, it is advisable to apply this at
